Poppy Seeds Cake
Super easy to make, this Poppy Seeds Cake is light, tender and perfectly sweet will begood for almost any occasion!
- 3 eggs
- 220 g sugar
- 110 ml vegetable oil
- 110 ml buttermilk
- 110 g sour cream
- 60 g poppy seeds
- 320 g flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
In a big bowl mix together the eggs and sugar for about 5 minutes.
Add Vegetable oil, buttermilk and sour cream. Mix again until all the ingredients are mixed well.
Add the poppy seeds and give it a quick stir.
Add all the dry ingredients to the mixture and stir again.
Transfer the butter to a baking dish and bake at 350F for 50-60 min.
Let it cool completely. Then decorate it with a little bit of powdered sugar dust.
The baking time will depend on the size of your baking dish and your oven.
I use a silicone mold that is 5.5-inches tall and 8-inches wide at the top.
