Moist Banana Bread Recipe

Moist and soft with a kick of spices this homemade banana bread conquers your friends and family!

Ingredients
  

  • 220 g whole purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 120 g sugar
  • 110 ml vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs at room temperature
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract optional
  • Nuts for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a big bowl mix together all the dry ingredients except sugar.
  • In a second bowl mix together vegetable oil, sugar, eggs and vanilla extract.
  • On the cutting board smash all the bananas with a fork.
  • Add the wet ingredients and smashed bananas to the dry ingredients. Mix well.
  • Oil and flour the bread pan then transfer the dough to the bread pan. Garnish with nuts. Bake at 350 degrees about 50-55 minutes.

Notes

Check the banana bread with a wooden stick to see if it’s ready.
Let cool for 5 minutes in the bread pan before taking it out.
