This cake brings back memories from my childhood. One of the easiest cakes to bake, it tastes delicious and looks very impressive.
Ingredients:
4 eggs at room temperature
200g (1 cup) sugar
100g melted butter
200g (1 cup) sour cream at room temperature
220g (1.5 cups) flour
1 tsp baking soda
2 tbsp cacao powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
Step 1
Start by mixing the eggs and sugar for about 3 minutes.
Step 2
Add the sour cream, melted butter, vanilla extract and mix again.
Step 3
Add the baking soda and salt, and give it a quick whisk.
Step 4
Add the flour and mix again.
Step 5
Divide the batter into two equal parts and add the cacao powder into one of them. Mix it very well.
Step 6
Cover the baking pan with parchment paper. Put two tablespoons of the vanilla batter in the middle of the pan. Add two tablespoons of the chocolate batter on top of the vanilla batter and repeat the process until you’re out of the batter.
Step 7
Use a wooden skewer to decorate the top of the cake. Bake at 350F degrees for 40-50 minutes or until a wooden skewer comes out dry after being inserted into the center.
Enjoy!
