How to Make Colored Sugar
With colored sugar you can add an extra sparkle to baked treats and make them even more special.
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1-2 drops gel food coloring
- resealable plastic bag
You can also use raw sugar or Caster sugar depending on the size of sugar granules you want to use.
If you use water-based food coloring, you sugar may turn out a little bit wet. If that happens, just place the colored sugar on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper and let it dry out or you can pop it in the oven at 150 F degrease for 5-10 minutes, kipping the eye on it.
