Today I’m going to show you how to make some simple and delicious vanilla cupcakes. This recipe calls for basic ingredients that make moist and fluffy cupcakes for any occasion.

Ingredients:

180g sifted flour
20g cornstarch
1 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp baking soda
1/8 tsp salt
100g soften butter
150g sugar
1 egg at room temperature
1 tsp vanilla extract

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place cupcake papers in a cupcake pan.

Step 2

Sift the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda and salt into a bowl, and whisk together.

Step 3

Whisk the soften butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix again.

Step 4

Add all the dry ingredients and give it a stir. Add the milk and mix until combined well. That’s it, our cupcakes batter is ready.

Step 5

Fill the cupcake papers about 3/4 of the way up. Bake for 20-23 minutes at 350F degrees or until golden-brown color on top.
Check the readiness of the cupcakes with a skewer or a toothpick and transfer the cupcakes onto a cooling rack and let them cool completely.

These cupcakes have a flat top which make them very easy to decorate. I used Italian Meringue to decorate the cupcakes, but you can use any frosting you like.
